Conversely, Red Energy impressed in every category with multiple tens – paving the way to one of the top spots in the entire guide.

The overall rating given by the Green Energy Guide has Alinta Energy listed at a below-average 3.14 out of 10 and Red Energy at an above-average 6.6 out of 10.

There you have it. Both retailers clearly have some enticing offers for residential consumers. In terms of electricity prices, Red Energy showcased competitive rates in almost every state. However, regarding solar feed-in tariffs and features, Red Energy offers better value over Alinta Energy. Red Energy also thrived in the renewables category, beating Alinta Energy by scoring better in almost every category.
