Origin Energy and Momentum Energy participated in a study that measured their efforts toward sustainability and support for renewable energy. The data shown below was pulled from the 2020 Green Electricity Guide (GEG) by Greenpeace.
Origin Energy and Momentum Energy scored relatively high in their overall support for renewable energy, with Origin Energy scoring an 8 out of 10 and Momentum Energy scoring a perfect 10 out of 10.
However, outside of their transparency in marketing, this is the only other category Origin Energy had high marks on. Every other category landed them a zero.
On the other hand, Momentum Energy scored a perfect 10 out of 10 on nearly every category aside from providing clean, renewable energy.
The overall rating given by the Green Energy Guide has Origin Energy listed at a lowly 1.6 out of 10 and Momentum Energy at a stellar 8.6 out of 10.
