Powershop vs Energy Australia Renewables

Does Powershop or Energy Australia rank high in renewable energy support? With many retailers going green as of late, it’s important to distinguish which retailer is actually making the effort to promote a renewable energy future. Find out more below. 

Powershop and Energy Australia recently participated in a study that measured their efforts toward sustainability and support for renewable energy. The data shown below was pulled from the 2020 Green Electricity Guide (GEG) by Greenpeace. 

Powershop and Energy Australia scored relatively high in their overall support for renewable energy, with Energy Australia scoring an 8 out of 10 and Powershop scoring a perfect 10 out of 10. 

However, Energy Australia scored zeroes in nearly every other category.

The overall rating given by the Green Energy Guide has Energy Australia listed at a lowly 1.35 out of 10 and Powershop at an impressive 7 out of 10.
