Origin Energy vs Dodo Energy Renewables

Does Origin Energy or Dodo Energy rank high in renewable energy support? With many retailers going green as of late, it’s important to see the data behind their efforts. Find out more below.

Origin Energy and Dodo Energy participated in a study that measured their efforts toward sustainability and support for renewable energy. The data shown below was pulled from the 2020 Green Electricity Guide (GEG) by Greenpeace.

Origin Energy scored relatively high in their overall support for renewable energy, with a solid 8 out of 10.

However, outside of transparency in marketing, this is the only other category Origin Energy had high marks on. Every other category landed them a zero.

On the other hand, Dodo Energy scored a perfect 10 out of 10 on halting fossil fuel expansion but failed to score anything higher than a 5 out of 10 on every other category.

The overall rating given by the Green Energy Guide has Origin Energy listed at a lowly 1.6 out of 10 and Dodo Energy at a poor 3.39 out of 10.
