AGL and Simply Energy recently participated in a study that measured their efforts toward sustainability and support for renewable energy. The data shown below was pulled from the 2020 Green Electricity Guide (GEG) by Greenpeace.
AGL and Simply Energy scored relatively high in their overall support for renewable energy, with AGL scoring an 8 out of 10 and Simply scoring an 8.6 out of 10.
However, AGL scored zeroes in every other category.
Outside of support for new renewable energy, Simply Energy underperformed in every category except pollution & environmental harm which has them listed at an average 5 out of 10.
The overall rating given by the Green Energy Guide has AGL listed at a lowly 1.2 out of 10 and Simply Energy at an underwhelming 2.59 out of 10.
