How Green Is Simply Energy?

Simply Energy partook in a study that showcased how ‘green’ the current Australian energy market is.  The report “Alviss Consulting, 2018 Green Electricity Guide Methodology” drew data based on a number of different criteria such as carbon emissions, support for renewable energy, and more. Energy retailers currently in operation were then given a score indicative of their overall transition towards renewable energy.  In the table provided, the scores range from 0 to 10, with 0 being the lowest.

From an overall standpoint, Simply Energy was graded a subpar 4.0 out of 10. This landed them in the middle- to lower-tier of the list, leaving much to be desired.

However, Simply Energy impressed when it came to providing a comprehensive overview of energy efficiency information on their website. Furthermore, their solar export price(s) were generally above state averages.
