Does Nectr Energy or AGL rank high in renewable energy support? Retailers are transitioning to green energy and promoting their efforts. However, it’s important to see the actual data so you can see what metrics are used and how each retailer performed.
AGL and Nectr Energy participated in a study that measured their efforts toward sustainability and support for renewable energy. The data shown below was pulled from the Green Electricity Guide (GEG) by Greenpeace.
AGL scored relatively high in its overall support for renewable energy, with an impressive 8 out of 10.
However, outside of their transparency in marketing, this is the only other category AGL had high marks on. They scored zeroes in every other category.
Conversely, Nectr Energy is one of the top-rated providers in the entire guide, with high scores across the board outside of “providing clean, renewable energy” which yielded them a 4 out of 10.
The overall rating given by the Green Energy Guide has AGL listed at an awful 1.2 out of 10 and Nectr Energy at a stellar 7.3 out of 10.
