AGL and 1st Energy participated in a study that measured their efforts toward sustainability and support for renewable energy. The data shown below was pulled from the Green Electricity Guide (GEG) by Greenpeace.
AGL fared well in the category of “support for new renewable energy” with a respectable score of 8 out of 10.
However, this is the only category AGL had high marks on. They scored zeroes in the five other categories.
1st Energy on the other hand, scored a perfect ten out of ten in ‘halting fossil fuel expansion’ but scored below average marks in every other category outside of ‘pollution & environmental harm’.
The overall rating given by the Green Energy Guide has AGL listed in last place with a score of 1.2 out of 10 and 1st Energy at a subpar 3.54 out of 10.
