Energy Australia vs Nectr Energy Renewables

Does Nectr Energy or Energy Australia rank high in renewable energy support? Retailers are transitioning to green energy and promoting their efforts. However, it’s important to see the actual data so you can see what metrics are used and how well they fared.

Energy Australia and Nectr Energy participated in a study that measured their efforts toward sustainability and support for renewable energy. The data shown below was pulled from the Green Electricity Guide (GEG) by Greenpeace.

Energy Australia scored relatively high in its overall support for renewable energy, with an impressive 8 out of 10.

However, outside of their transparency in marketing, this is the only other category Energy Australia had high marks on. They scored zeroes in nearly every other category.

Conversely, Nectr Energy is one of the top-rated providers in the entire guide, with high scores across the board outside of “providing clean, renewable energy” which yielded them a 4.

The overall rating given by the Green Energy Guide has Energy Australia listed at a terrible 1.35 out of 10 and Nectr Energy at a stellar 7.3 out of 10.
