AGL vs Momentum Energy Renewables

Does Momentum Energy or AGL rank high in renewable energy support? With energy retailers placing an emphasis on going greener, it’s important to distinguish which retailers are actually focusing on improving their efforts.

AGL and Momentum Energy participated in a study that measured their efforts toward sustainability and support for renewable energy. The data shown below was pulled from the 2020 Green Electricity Guide (GEG) by Greenpeace. 

AGL and Momentum Energy scored relatively high in their overall support for renewable energy, with AGL scoring an 8 out of 10 and Momentum Energy scoring a perfect 10 out of 10. 

However, AGL scored zeroes in every other category. 

On the other hand, Momentum Energy scored a perfect 10 out of 10 in nearly every category aside from providing clean, renewable energy.

The overall rating given by the Green Energy Guide has AGL listed at a terrible 1.2 out of 10 and Momentum Energy at a stellar 8.6 out of 10.
