Shell Energy Business Electricity Plans

Shell Energy offers electricity plans to eligible large commercial and industrial businesses. Below, you’ll find a list of Shell Energy’s business electricity plans that are currently available.

STEP Online

The STEP Online energy plan is a variable rate plan that serves as an alternative to fixed-price energy contracts. When you sign up for this plan, you’ll lock in your electricity prices throughout your contract period. Some benefits of the STEP Online plan include:

  • Lock in electricity prices periodically throughout your contract period

  • No load variation penalties

  • Access to Shell Energy’s online portal

  • Monthly invoicing

  • Discounts for early payments

  • Site roll-in and roll-outs within the agreed tolerance

STEP Index

Similar to the STEP Online plan, the STEP Index plan is a variable rate energy plan that allows consumers to automatically purchase business energy online at an average-index price. Consumers have the option to lock in a price or keep it variable throughout the life of the contract period – with the latter being a risk-averse option. Some other benefits of the STEP Index plan include:

  • Lock in your price or keep it variable

  • No load variation penalties

  • Access to Shell Energy’s online portal

  • Monthly invoicing

  • Discounts for early payments

  • Site roll-in and roll-outs within the agreed tolerance

Fixed Electricity Contracts

Shell Energy’s Fixed Electricity is exactly what the name suggests. Consumers agree to an electricity price upfront for the entirety of the contract period. The prices are based on market prices at the time of signing. Some benefits of a fixed electricity contract include:

  • Fixed price for the entirety of the contract

  • No load variation penalties

  • Access to Shell Energy’s online portal

  • Monthly invoicing

  • Discounts for early payments

  • Site roll-in and roll-outs within the agreed tolerance

Shell Energy Small Multi-Site Business Electricity

Shell Energy offers electricity plans to eligible businesses with 10 or more multi-sites. These energy plans are available for consumers in VIC, NSW, SA, QA, ACT, and TAS. Below, you’ll find a list of Shell Energy’s business electricity plans that are currently available.

Unbundled (Network Pass Through)

Shell Energy’s unbundled small multi-site business electricity plan has fixed retail charges for each individual tariff, inclusive of any energy, environmental, and market changes. Some benefits of an unbundled business electricity plan include:

  • Fixed retail charges

  • Pass through network charges (separate charges on each invoice)

  • Ideal for small sites with smart or basic meters

  • No load variation penalties

  • Site roll in/roll out within an agreed tolerance

  • The option to choose your preferred metering provider through a DMA

Bundled (Network Pass Through)

Is Shell Energy Right For Me?

Shell Energy offers a variety of competitive energy plans for business consumers. With numerous options available, businesses can tailor an energy plan to suit their business needs, goals, and budget. Shell Energy also offers residential energy plans through their residential arm Powershop. While the retail giant does not offer solar plans, customers can benefit from one of the many solar solutions that Shell Energy offers – from designing your own solar system to financing needs.
