Disclosure Of Commission/Fees
At The Monster Group we endeavour to keep our customers informed as to our specific business model and how we operate. It is our moral duty to disclose to the customer that we receive payment of commissions from participating third parties for services and products sold and referred to on this website.
Electricity Monster is a centralised comparison service. It does not, however, compare all energy offers from all Energy Retailers. We do, however display the best rates on our website that we have chosen to make available for that electricity network & tariff specifically selected by our team. Our Energy Retailer partners may have other offers available in the market that may be better than what we can offer.
The service is provided by a comparison of rates and/or supply charges. The rates shown by our providers are all inclusive discounts, meaning there may be terms associated with those offers. We will disclose this to you on the call and will be clearly stated in your welcome pack.
The order of the retailers provided on our website is displayed after a calculation is performed and is ranked from the cheapest provider based on their peak rates and supply charges. Peak 2 rates are not included in these calculations. We provide this list, based on all-inclusive discounts. You must note that there may be conditions on receiving this specific quoted rate. The rate is displayed after these conditional discounts have been subtracted from the base line peak rate. Average Usage: 8000 kWh per annum Low Usage: 4000 kWh per annum, off peak usage is estimated at 25% of usage.
Estimated annual charges and savings are based on standard incumbent retails standing offers, or if available the electricity or gas company you have selected your with. These savings may not be a true comparison as your situation may be varied. Such as you may be getting discounts from your current company we are not aware of at the time of comparison online. Please confirm all current charges and rates on your recent energy or gas bills yourself. Electricity Monster can only quote based on the rates and assumptions we have, please make us aware if you have a different situation. We welcome you to use our website to conduct your own analysis. We encourage our customers to ring Electricity Monster in order to receive a more accurate quote based on your personal usage.
Electricity Annual Cost Difference
Electricity Comparison Cost Difference - Calculation Workings
Annual Yearly Results Shown = Peak Rate 1 * 8000 kWh per annum (+) annual supply charge ( - ) one of energy partners' plan with all inclusive discounts.
You may be on a different tariff or plan and these savings may not be a true reflection of your situation. Please check with your Electricity Monster consultant and determine your situation yourself, based on your own rates. We do not compare all energy providers and only work with our partners, and currently only operate in VIC, NSW, SA, QLD (Energex). Listed discounts and possible savings vary for consumers and businesses depending on distribution areas, residing state, duel fuel discounts, tariff types.
Gas Comparison Cost Difference - Calculation Workings
Gas Annual Cost Difference - Calculated by your incumbent retailer's standing offer, either 40,000 MJ per annum (medium usage) or 80,000 MJ per annum (high usage). Your usage may be different and this is an assumption, for an accurate comparison, we will need your current retailer's rates and usage. Please be aware that rate changes would change estimated cost calculations. In the event that either retailer changes their rates this information displayed would be different based on a full calendar year.
